Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Ali, currently working as an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from School of Engineering and Materials Science, Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom, in 2011. He was a postdoc at Water and Energy Laboratory of University of California at Merced, United States, during 2015-16. |

He has been a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University since January 2014. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, in 1993 and completed his postgraduate studies in Thermal Engineering at Bengal Engineering College in 1995. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2000. His international visit began in 2007 at Saga University in Japan, where he served as a visiting faculty member. He worked as a Research Professor at Hanyang University in South Korea, under the Brain Korea 21 program. His research areas include heat transfer in composite materials, nanomaterials, hyperthermia treatment, solar collectors, and thermoelectric generators, among others. He has published numerous book chapters and conference papers, receiving international recognition, including being listed among the top 2% of global scientists in mechanical engineering by Stanford University for 2020-2025. |

Mohammad Ameri is currently a Full Professor and Energy Conversion Chair in the Mechanical and Energy Engineering Department at the Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran, Iran. He received the Award of the Distinguished Researcher of the Country, Ministry of Higher Education, Iran. He was granted the prestigious Kharazmi National Award of the Best Applied Research Project Prize for the Cooperation in the “Design, Modeling & Testing of Deaerator,” Ministry of Higher Education, Iran. He is the Editorial member of Journal of Renewable Energy & Environment. He was the National Consultant for “Development Study for Institutional Capacity Development on Energy Management in the Building Sector in the Islamic Republic of Iran” project, JICA Study Team, Mitsubishi Research Institute (MRI). He was also the National Technical Advisor for “Iran Industries Energy Efficiency & Conservation Project,” UNDP & GEF. His current research interests include Analysis of Energy Systems, Renewable Energies, Application of Nanofluids in Heat Transfer & Heat Exchangers, Steam & Combined Cycle Power Plants, and Desalination Hybrid Systems. |

Dr Li Wang has her first degree in Material Science and Engineering, MSc in Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, and PhD in Computational Mechanics. She worked at the Solid mechanics group, Oxford University after her PhD involved in various EPSRC and Industrial (Rolls-Royce) R&D projects across aerospace and automotive industries. Her focus was on impact behaviour of materials and structures, employing experimental testing and numerical simulations. She had many years’ industrial experience with Global Packaging Design Group in Unilever R&D, managing several large projects and leading the CAE team and Design Engineering Team with different functions (mechanical and thermal modelling, mould design and cooling systems, Low temperature technologies, discover, supply chain, etc). She joined School of Engineering and Material Science, at Queen Marry University of London in 2022 as senior lecturer and Director of Student Experience and Industrial Link for Queen Marry Engineering School (Jointly with Northwestern Polytechnical University, China). Her recent research interests covered both research and engineering education. Dr Wang has published widely in different areas since transferring from industry to academia, including a recent paper on Nature Scientific reports on Sustainability and materials. She has involved in supervision of several PhD research projects including joint supervision for H2020 MSCA Individual fellowship. She delivered many presentations in the past few years including invited talks at leading international industrial/academic conferences. |

Dr. Barakat is currently serving as a Professor and Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Barakat is a professionally registered engineer in Ontario, Canada, a Fulbright Specialist, and is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Dr. Barakat holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, Ontario, and a Master Degree from Concordia University, Canada. Dr. Barakat is actively serving in many leadership positions for professional organizations such as ASME, NIEE, IEEE-Educational Society, and ASEE. Dr. Barakat is also a program evaluator for ABET, currently serving as ABET commissioner, and a consultant for engineering programs development and evaluation under other systems. Dr. Barakat is an active consultant who is currently collaborating with international teams of professionals from academia and industry to build capacity and education programs in areas such as: Engineering Leadership, Engineering Ethics, Professionalism, Societal Impact of Technology, Curriculum Development, and Communication. Dr. Barakat expertise and interest include also the areas of Mechatronics, Control, Robotics, Automation, and Nanotechnology Education. |
